Powerhouse Street Art Project Takes Geelong by Storm

Our ambitious mate Ian Ballis is on to something with his Powerhouse Street Art Project. While the actual power station has some work done to it, he’s moved in with the Mill Markets on Brougham in Central Geelong and is running a competition to find the best street artist in the region, maybe the world!

There are 140 artists competing and 300 artworks on display, all of which will be for sale. The launch of the project is on Friday the 10th of July at 4pm.

There will be complementary beer and cider from Little Creatures, as well as pizza and sushi. Entry is only $10.

Ian has been buying his materials from North Geelong Timber Supplies for ages however for this project we decided to donate the canvas to a great cause! It’s incredible to see what can be done with a blank sheet.
