Are you aware there’s a beautiful gallery down in Rutland Street Newtown? (off Pakington Street right down the bottom near the river)
Boom Gallery has revived an old warehouse and turned it into a bustling gallery with a shop full of handmade goodies, studios and a cafe.
We dropped past to see what they’ve done with our plywood and pine as we’d heard it was used by the owner Ren in the process of partitioning the open space into the beautiful gallery you see here today.
It’d be nice to be able to say that Leen’s timber is hanging in a gallery but that wouldn’t be entirely true.
The pine has been hidden away behind plaster, but it’s been used as a medium to present the art that truly deserves to be shown off. The ply on the other hand is part of the light fittings. They’re hanging from the roof so maybe that’s a claim we can make after all.
Either way Ren has done a marvellous job!
